Cadmium Orange (opaque) or Transparent Orange (transparent) Optional
Manganese Blue –Optional, makes nice greens
*Ultramarine Blue – workhorse blue
*Thalo Green -Blue version OR Viridian – a bluish-green (which ever you have)
*Burnt Sienna OR Transparent Red Oxide
*Yellow Ochre – a modifier
*Titanium White or Great White (available at Jerry’s Artarama)
Oil Painters: Paints & brushes are suggested not mandatory
Medium: Liquin Original is useful OR Gamblin solvent Free Gel
Suggested Brushes: Bristle for Oil Painters
Flats: Ideal for expressive brushwork.. a variety of sizes between #2 –# 6 or #8
Manufactures size differently
Filberts: Rounded edges suitable for curved and finer marks
Rounds: Good for drawing composition and fine details
Palette Knife: to mix paint, also to paint with (I use Creative Mark T 29 or 30)
Gamsol Oderless Mineral Spirits in spill tight container – a metal Brush Washer is a safe option and can hang or sit on your easel..
A Wet Canvas/Panel Holder or A simple Cardboard Box or Newsprint to Wrap the Wet Painting to transport

Water: A container of water to clean your brushes and a cup of water to thin your paints.

Canvas/Panel Holder, A simple Cardboard Box or Newsprint to transport your wet painting.

Easel: Sturdy Portable Plein Air Easel with Tripod
Palette – if one is not on your easel
Umbrella - Optional
Canvas or Panels: 8”x10”, 11”14”, nothing too large (Always carry a few)
Canvas or Linen Panels or Canvas clipped to a board. Light will go through a regular Canvas.
Paper Towels & or Rags
Trash Bag: For disposing of soiled paper towels
Water bottle to drink – Stay hydrated – Bathrooms available
Proper Clothing: Hat. Avoid wearing bright, colorful clothes as these will reflect color back onto your painting.
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
A Bag lunch or Buy your lunch at The Goat.
